A sleeper hit waiting to happen. Get the decour up to date and you have yourself an excellent place for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Hi I would like to say that honestly I went there by accident because I thought it was still the purple onion,but let me tell you wow what a steak I have tried a lot of steak houses in the g.t.a and in the States but from far this guy knows what he is doing.If you are looking for a really good steak give it a try you won't be sorry.

By far the best place I've eaten in, service is great, everything in that menu is outstanding, my recomandation is try the steak, better than any 5 star restaurant. nice quiet place with a master chef, great prices too I really recomend it

Mr. Onions is one of the best places to eat at, Chef. Jay is phenomenal, sure the place is not high class, but I dont go to restaurants for looks, the food was better than what u eat at 5star restaurant, everything is good in there but I would really recommend the NY steak or Filet Mignon

Not a fancy place, but the food was better than what u get at 5star restaurants. Chef Jay really knows what he is doing, service was great, the bread is the most unique u'll eat anywhere, my advice to try NY steak 12oz is great, it came with the chefs special bread, salad and vegetables and steak, his staff is great the place is warm place for family. Fridays nights are the best days for me bc. I eat there every friday. TRY IT.

I was great! The pioneer bread is wonderful. I enjoyed my 10 oz New York which was grilled perfectly. The prices are just right.

Went there for the first time for a steak and I have to say that I was surprised. The place to be honest wasn't that great, but the food more than enough made up for it. Everything tastes fresh, the people are nice, service was decent and the best thing about it that the head chef is a Master Chef. I'll be coming back again.

I found the perfect place for me to dine in. Variety of fresh food, homey feeling, and an inexpensive price for a gourmet meal. I always wonder why on Earth this place gets no business at night.

This place is a gem. If you enjoy an unpretentious, affordable family restaurant with an excellent chef at the helm...then this is the place.
We have eaten there several times. I sense that we are part of an inner circle of lucky patrons who found this place before it gets famous. Other diners nod and smile to us knowingly. Good food, good service, good location, good prices. That's good to the fourth power.

Wow!!! What a Toronto find, have dined there half a dozen times so far,trying something different each time and have been thrilled each time. Breakfast, lunch or dinner was always prepared fresh and delicious, like finding a gourmet restaurant at local prices. WHEN THE WORD GETS OUT THEY'LL BE LINED UP AT THE DOOR

Who knew breakfast can be so good here. I never had homefries so good and I'm from Montreal so I never had anything like it before and never had anyone cook my bacon and eggs Exactly how wanted it. Bravo Mr. Onion. I will definetly be back on my next visit
