Nope - never again. This restaurant is now owned by someone else. The sushi is smaller and the soft shelled crab roll, one of the most expensive things on the menu, is dried out and has virtually no sauce on it anymore. The miso soup was bland and the salad consisted of lettuce with a bland sesame sauce. Bland bland bland. I will never return here again - it's not worth the money at all. The old owner used to give a complimentary dish which made it worth the wait -- he also spoke Japanese. The new owner doesn't put care into the sushi - it is uneven and just sub-par. Go to Akane-ya up the street - a little more expensive but SO MUCH better.
Best sushi in Toronto!
When this restaurant is open, it has an outstanding sushi and nihon ryori (Japanese food) buffet. The selection is better than any other Japanese buffet we have tried, and the quality of the food is surprisingly first-rate. Its opening hours are a bit unpredictable, though, so phone ahead to confirm!
