We live in the neighbourhood and walk there often. I have *never* been disappointed with the food. The environment is small (cozy?) and the decor is a bit sparse, but none of that matters once the food arrives. My personal favourite are the Seafood Crepes (with apples and some sort of peppers mixed in). The salads are always fresh and delicious as well. Best chef in Toronto, imho! Highly recommended.
The Upper Beach cafe feels much more like a fine bistro than that of a cafe. Their breakfast menu is expansive and accomodates all tastes. Each breakfast plate includes a delicious assortment of fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and toast. It is a very comfortable space to enjoy even the most simple meal.Care goes into everything that the staff prepare. Families are welcome and it is a great place to go for Sunday brunch or a quick panini to go. Their dinners are delicious and the selection of wine and beer compliment the meal. It has been a wonderful addition to the area.
